Mean18 Golf for Mac

Chipped In

Just downloaded the Mean18 for Mac zip file containing it’s respective images. I’ve been playing it within the Mini vMac emulator on my MacBook (intel). Played multiple courses and saved some games in process. Ran it under System 4.3. No particular reason, it was there. Dragged System 4.3 dsk on to my mini vMac icon in the system tray, then same for Mean18.dsk. Off and running. It is strange to play it in black and white. I usually play on my IIGS, real IIGS and GSPort emulator on the same MacBook.

I also tried the Bootable dsk and it worked great.

Here are some pictures. There a little fuzzy. Link to page on Macintosh Garden is below.

iMac G4 – 10.4.11 and 9.2 – Flower Pot (Lamp) with Apple II Emulators

February 21, 2020

This is my iMac G4 Flower Pot. I’ve had it for a few years now, and used it a lot. I didn’t realize I hadn’t written a blog entry until today.

Besides using it to run vintage Mac software, I also run Apple II emulators on it. Virtual II and Sweet16 both have versions which run on this earlier version of Mac OS X. Lots of links at bottom of this post. I also have a FireWire Drive attached running os9.2 with its apps and games too. See pics.

Here is a picture running “mini vMac“, Virtual II, AND Sweet16.

Here’s the startup Desktop. Date and time just updated. It has an Airport Card.

Here are the specs for the G4. I upgraded it to 768 MB shortly after I bought it. Pretty straight forward.

Here is the directory of mini vMac items. The mini vMac blog entry on this site has links to all kinds of disk configurations.

Booted up mini vMac. Have clock timer and TopCat clock in startup.

Here is the Virtual II Emulator. It’s a version 6. See link below to directory to download it.

Playing Concentration Game.

Booting up Sweet16.

Sweet16 Desktop.

Although this early version can play movies the 800 MHz isn’t powerful enough.

Mini vMac – Emulator of early Macs

November 4, 2018

I’ve been running Mini vMac on my power pc iMac and my Intel Macs for awhile. Thought I’d post some thoughts.

I’ve been able to copy all the files from a small HD drive to one of the larger drive images and boot that one. Picture below is a HD128 MB. Files came from a 20 MB. Following link has many image sizes.

The Mini vMac Boot v2 is version MacOS 7.5.5. But it comes on a 20MB image.

I downloaded the 192 MB image and copied the contents of the 20 MB to the 192 MB.

However, to get it to boot completely you need to rename the 192 MB image to Mini vMac Boot v2. Then you have lots of room to add all the Apps and Games.

Many games at following link.

Below is 20 MB image I took System Files and other files from for the HD128.

Above, startup without an image.

Below, running Clariworks 3.0.
