IIGS to DVI Adapter

October 31, 2016

DVI adapter for Apple IIGS.

I received the IIGS DVI adapter from Nishida Radio. I’ve installed it in my IIGS ROM 3.

At first I booted from a 3.5″ drive.

Then I connected my floppy EMU device to it. When the floppy EMU was connected to the SmartPort directly it booted to the hard drive image on the EMU.

When I placed the floppy EMU behind either one or two of my daisy chained 3.5 Apple drives it would not boot from it.

However the floppy EMU and all the loaded hard drive images mount when I boot GS OS 601 from the first 3.5″ Apple Drive.

Had a Hole-In-One today.

It was on a blind hole to the green. I’ll post an overview of hole. You have to hook your drive around some trees.

Early graphical version where you actually see the ball flying through the air. This is displaying on a NightOwl LCD via composite so it’s not the best.

Floppy EMU on a Laser 128 – Apple IIc Clone

Running a Floppy EMU connected to Laser128:I can get both 3.5″ and 5.25″ EMU images to run just fine on the Laser128. The Laser128 will actually boot from a 3.5″ EMU image, just as it does with a real 3.5″ drive attached. Will not boot from a 5.25″ EMU image, which is normal. But I did run the 5.25 EMU MouseWrite image from the command line once I exited system utilities, with which I booted up the Laser128.

PublishIt v4 on IIGS ROM01 with VGA Adapter on TransWarpGS

October 18, 2016

I was copying a number of print shop images from various SoftDisks to a single floppy. I was able to get 105 images on a single DOS 3.3 floppy. I then decided to test importing them to a PublishIt 4 document. Below are a couple pictures. The second picture is the print preview mode. This was running on my IIGS which has the VGA adapter from ManilaGear.com.
