These 90°, 270° adapters came in very handy on the smaller LCDs since the cables connect to the bottom of the LCD.
Fishies for the Apple II – ScreenSaver
January 7, 2018Here’s a nifty little program to lighten your day. Nice to have it running to “sea” something bright. This is running on my IIGS with ManilaGear VGA Adapter to Samsung SyncMaster 710n. It runs nicely in Virtual II Emulator. Then I used ADTPro to write a 5.25 Floppy disk.

PublishIt v4 on IIGS ROM01 with VGA Adapter on TransWarpGS
October 18, 2016I was copying a number of print shop images from various SoftDisks to a single floppy. I was able to get 105 images on a single DOS 3.3 floppy. I then decided to test importing them to a PublishIt 4 document. Below are a couple pictures. The second picture is the print preview mode. This was running on my IIGS which has the VGA adapter from ManilaGear.com.

IIGS using VGA Adapter from ManilaGear
September 4, 2016Bought a IIGS to VGA adapter from manilagear.com. Also picked up a Samsung Syncmaster 710N LCD. Only certain model LCDs will work. They have to accept 15 kHz. Here are pictures.

Update: July 2017. Just bought the case for the adapter through reactivemicro. I feel safer now with it enclosed. Too easy to nick an open board.
With the new VGA Adapter from ManilaGear.
I got a little too close with the camera. You don’t see wavy lines with your eyes.

AppleWorksGS. Really nice.
Pretty nice text screen.
